Artist Statement
I am a proud second-generation immigrant with a blend of South American and European heritage. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Ball State University, where I delved into various cultural aspects of human life and identity. During my time there, I discovered glass as a captivating medium for art and craft. Enamored by its unique properties and potential, I decided to pursue glass full-time after graduating in 2021. With approximately four years of experience, I have been teaching workshops and long-term intensive classes at various studios while also creating my own art. Currently, I am particularly fascinated by the intricacies of color theory and how a particular object can harmonize and enhance the functionality or aesthetics of a space. For this show, I present some of my work that aligns with my interests and a variety of holiday-themed decorations.
